1. Build “1+2+5” group urban and rural spatial structure
The planning has analyzed the role of Foshan rural and urban areas in urban and rural integration and trend of development. Based on the original “2+5” model, it has put forward the construction of the new city of Dongping as the core of future development of the city to enhance the competitiveness. The city will radiate the rural areas through traffic and ecological corridors. Several urbanization groups will be formed along the traffic corridor to promote the development of rural areas. Three rural coordination groups are formed along the ecological corridor to finally construct “1+2+5” urban and rural spatial structure along the corridor.
2. Define the construction focus of the rural areas, develop recent action plan and promote equalization of urban and rural facilities
The planning, combining the equalization requirements of urban and rural facilities of Guangdong Province and actual situation of Foshan, sets the equalization goal of urban and rural facilities of Foshan. By 2020, public transport will reach every corner of the village with a community health service station in each central village and cultural room, centralized public green space and water supply facilities in each village.
In accordance with equalization of urban and rural facilities, it determines two functional divisions: urbanization and regional coordinated development of the five areas of space support system development focus with overall layout of major facilities.
Develop a near-term action plan, construct village and town transportation, public services, ecological environment and municipal facilities to build the project bank, define the amount of construction, leading and assistant department to guide the expansion of urban facilities to villages.
3. Innovate the method of village planning with village planning as the construction unit of rural facilities
